This Keto French Fries Recipe is brough to us by Heavenly Fan. They are crunchy, fluffy and so satisfying to eat. It’s amazing what two simple ingredients can do.

The ingredients if you want to make the Almond Fries:
100 Grams of Ground Almonds.
3 Teaspoons of Xanthan Gum
6 Tablespoons of Hot Water

Keto French Fries

If you would rather do the Coconut Flour Fries then you will need:
50 Grams of Coconut Flour
3 Teaspoons of Xanthan Gum
7-8 Tablespoons of Hot Water

Here’s how you go about making these yummy Keto French Fries:
1. Place the Ground Almonds (or Coconut Flour) and the Xanthan Gum in a Mixing Bowl.
2. Mix it well.
3. Add in the Hot Water and knead the the dough until all the ingredients are blended together.
4. Leave the dough to rest for 15 minutes.
5. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 cm.
6. Cut it into strips, to make the French Fries shapes.
7. Add enough oil in a frying pan to be able to cover the fries.
8. Maintaining a medium to low heat, gently place the strips into the pan and fry until they are golden brown on all sides.

You can also bake them in the oven if you prefer. Just place the strips on a lined or greased baking sheet. Brush the strips with oil on top and bake in a 200°C/400°F preheated oven till the fries are golden brown. This should take about 10 to 15 minutes. You want to toss them around in between to make sure they bake evenly.

Once the Fries are fried or baked, transfer them to a plate lined with Kitchen Towels to help remove the excess oil. Sprinkle with Sea or Himalayan Salt.

    • Hi, Xanthan Gum is an basically a thickening agent. Not sure whether you you would find it in your local supermarket, but it should be available at any health store or if all else fails Amazon. It does go a long way so you won’t need to buy it often.
