Here is a tasty but easy to make Air Fried Chicken Legs low carb keto recipe that is perfect for dinner or lunch. The video is courtesy of Keto Vale.

To keep this meal healthy as well as low carb there are no breading on it or batter on it. Using an air fryer you will still get a crispy skin but the meat will juicy and tender. It is actually much juicier than chicken breasts and it is quick and easy to cook using your air fryer of choice.

Chicken is a great choice for dinner as it is a great source of protein and B vitamins which plays an important role in energy metabolism.

First up you need to get your spice mix together to make this Air Fried Chicken Legs recipe really pop. Chicken on its own is bland so we need spices to make it tasty. The spices you will need are:

  • Half a teaspoon of Paprika
  • Half a teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • Quarter teaspoon of Onion Powder
  • One eighth of a teaspoon of Chili Powder
  • A pinch of Erythritol (This is optional and adds a bit of sweetness to the dish)
  • Salt and Black Pepper to your taste

Take the Paprika, Chili Powder, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Erythritol, Salt and Black Pepper and mix it all together in a small bowl.

Now take eight drumsticks and place them in a large bowl and pour three tablespoons of melted butter over them. Take the spice mix you prepared and sprinkle it over the buttered drumsticks. Toss everything in the bowl to make sure all the pieces are coated. Don’t be shy, get your hands dirty in this one!

You now want to pre-heat your Air Fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. While it is pre-heating, take the basket and grease it by rubbing Olive Oil on the bottom. If you don’t have a very big air fryer you might have to cook all the pieces in batches.

Place as many pieces as you can in the basket without them touching each other. Insert the basket into the fryer and then cook for 10 minutes, flip the pieces over, and cook for another 10 minutes.

After the cooking time is done take them out of the basket and server with a lovely green salad or low carb vegetables. You can also add a low carb sauce if you so desire.
