Today’s video is from Joe Duff – The Diet Chef and covers four different Keto Coffee Recipes that is perfect for beginners and experienced dieters alike.
Joe is a coffee fanatic drinking easily up to four cups of coffee in a day. This is mainly because he does a food fast for the majority of the day where he does not eat any solid food but in stead drinks coffee.
Drinking coffee has the following benefits:
- Curbs your appetite.
- Gives you a ton of energy because of the caffeine.
- You are less food focused as you are not making or eating food.
In the video Joe will show us his best Keto Coffee Recipes. He will be making Bulletproof Coffee, Keto Café Mocha, a Spiced Keto Coffee Recipe and then finally wrapping up with a Starbucks inspired Caramel Macchiato.
The first step to making any of these Keto Coffees is to actually make the coffee! Joe goes with Café Bustelo Ground Coffee and he adds about a third of a cup to his coffee maker.
Add about 3 cups or 700 milliliters to the coffee maker as well. Sit back and relax and let the coffee maker brew some coffee. Once you have the coffee you can start adding the Keto goodness to it.
First up is Joe’s version of Bulletproof Coffee. Start of by adding 120 ml of black coffee to a cup along with half a teaspoon of ghee or butter. Using ghee gives the coffee a lovely nutty taste.
Next you need to add some MCT oil. This will not only help you feel full but will also help increase you ketone levels. Add half a teaspoon or two grams to the coffee.
Then, to sweeten up the coffee without adding any carbs, we add half a tablespoon (six grams) or Swerve. Lastly just add a tiny bit of unsweetened vanilla Almond Milk.
Now you can stick to basics and just stir up the coffee with a spoon, or you can take it to the next level by mixing everything together with a frothier. Do this for about a minute or two.
