This recipe by Joe Duff (The Diet Chef) is for a Zero Carb Keto Cheese Bread. Yes, you did read that right; absolutely no carbs anywhere to be seen!
And this stuff is incredibly favorable, with the perfect amount of chewiness to it. If you have made it once, you will make it again and again! That’s how good it is.
The first thing to do is to pre-heat the oven to 350°F. Next up you need to crack two large eggs into a medium sized bowl. Using a fork divide the yolks so that it combines with the whites.
Now you will be adding mozzarella cheese. It is recommended that you shred the cheese yourself to avoid the carbs that you would find in pre-shredded cheese. For this recipe you want to add two cups of the cheese to the bowl.
Once that is done we add some freshly grated Parmesan Cheese, about 145 grams. Now we need to add some flavor to our Keto Cheese Bread. We add half a teaspoon of onion powder, a half a teaspoon of garlic powder and just a tiny pinch of Italian seasoning.
When you have added all the seasoning, you want to get your spatula out and mix it all together until you get a crumbly consistency. Once you have the right consistency it is time to get your hands dirty and form a ball of dough from the mixture. Once the ball is formed, put it back in the bowl and set it aside.
Get out an 11×7 tray to bake the Keto bread in. Add a little bit of water to it so that the parchment paper you are adding in to it stays in place. Coat the parchment paper with some non-stick baking spray and add the ball of dough to it. Work the dough and press it out evenly across the tray.
Pop it in the oven for around 25 minutes. It should have a nice golden top to it. Get it out of the oven and let it cool down to room temperature. After it cooled down you can take it back to your work area and cut out about 8 to 10 pieces using a pizza cutter.
